Barefoot Landing In Myrtle Beach

 

Shopping, dining, singing and dancing on the boardwalk are what Barefoot Landing is all about. Further north than the southern Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing is another smorgasbord of shopping, food, nightlife, entertainment and more.

 

Home to House of Blues which features some of the best music in the country and in Myrtle Beach, it is worth the trip. Other great attractions to be found at Barefoot Landing are:

Alligator Adventure: This is one of the world’s largest reptile zoos in the world with over 700 alligators in captivity and live shows to thrill all ages.

Favorite Barefoot bars are Dick's Last Resort and the Stool Pigeon's Pub.

Alabama Theatre is a favorite place to see shows in the Grand Strand. It was started by the popular rock group Alabama who played local in Myrtle Beach before they hit the big time.

T.I.G.E.R.S. also known as The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species has a 50-acre preserve in Myrtle Beach and a Preservation Station in Barefoot Landing. The Preservation station in Barefoot Landing is a free wildlife exhibit where guest can play with a tiger cub or have their picture taken with one for a charge. There also orangutans and chimpanzees to get to know at the Tigers Preservation Station.
