Brookgreen Gardens

 

Brookgreen Gardens is located across hywy 17 from Huntington Beach State Park. It was donated to the State of South Carolina by the Huntingtons as a giant preserve. Here various endangered wildlife not only local but from around the world are allowed to live and reproduce in peace. Tours by boat and bus will take guests back in the preserves and to see the wildlife there.

 

Brookgreen Gardens is also home to a gigantic horticulture garden. Plants, trees, and flowers represent all four seasons. It is a beautiful place for a walk with winding trails and paths.

Brookgreen Gardens offers workshops to educate the public on why and how it is best to protect our enviromenent. They also host numerous festivals throughout the year to be enjoyed by locals and tourists.
